PROPER CARE & MAINTENANCE

• SEASONING – before first use, the cast iron cauldron must be seasoned. Wash it with water, dry thoroughly, then coat the entire surface (inside and outside) with a thin layer of cooking oil. Place the prepared cauldron over hot embers and boil water in it for about 30 minutes. This process is essential to protect it from rust.
• CLEANING – due to the cast iron material, use water only for cleaning.
• MAINTENANCE – to extend the lifespan of the cauldron, after each wash apply a thin layer of oil to both the inside and outside surfaces.
